About

Dear reader, this is a site about Andrew Larkin, an industrial designer originally from Newcastle. He believes true design isn’t about sleek styling, cutting-edge tech, or the next trends—it’s about creating experiences so intuitive, you don’t even stop to consider yourself a participant within it.

“In design I like to start from basics, my approach is to always focus on good design principles. The simplest design is often the hardest to find, but also usually the best solution. Great design could never be obvious enough to be appreciated……”    (Andrew Larkin 2015)

Here are a few things you might find interesting about Andrew:

  • He has travelled 27 countries
  • To get through university, he lived in a rented garage for 3 years.
  • He rode the Isle of Man Mountain Run during race time… No speed limits and no crash barriers.
  • Whether he is left or right handed is still up for debate
  • He’s explored shipwrecks in the Caribbean
  • The taste of beer never really clicked for him… it’s usually spirits on the rocks, or a cocktail.
  • He knew he wanted to be a designer at age 5, after watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
